About us

The Bantu project is a media campaign aimed at encouraging the Swazi youth to develop personal service projects over a three month long Season of Service. For the duration of those 12 weeks, young people from across the country will try to identify a genuine need in their communities and try to meet it; fighting against the injustice of poverty, poor healthcare, and socioeconomic inequality.

A social experiment designed to cultivate compassion and servitude in the hearts of this nation’s youth, the Bantu project asks them to donate their time and labour. These personal service missions take place from their classrooms, mosques, jobs and neighbourhoods, culminating at this year’s Bush Fire’s celebrations.

The project aims to foster leadership within this generation of young Swazis. In today’s Africa, the development experts are those individuals raised on the receiving end of aid. They should thus be given a chance to test their knowledge. A lot can happen in three months.
